As Open Process Automation (OPA) moves from validation to real-world deployment, Distributed Control Nodes (DCNs) are becoming a key foundation for open, multi-vendor process control architectures. As the industrial computing layer within the OPA architecture, DCNs require platforms that combine predictable performance, flexible connectivity, industrial reliability, and cybersecurity. ASRock Industrial’s iEP-5000G and iEP-7000E Series serve as scalable industrial computing platforms for the DCN layer, providing the performance, ruggedness, and flexibility required for distributed control and edge applications. Through ExxonMobil’s COPA 500 deployments, the iEP-7020E Series supported the Lighthouse Project at the Resins Finishing Plant in Baton Rouge, with more than 100 DCNs and 1,000+ I/O points. The same DCN technology was also deployed at the Anchorage Chemical Terminal (ACT), which entered production on June 24, 2026. Together with the O-PAS™ Standard-certified iEP-5010G-010, these deployments demonstrate ASRock Industrial’s scalable DCN computing platform for next-generation Open Process Automation.
了解更多AI is creating new opportunities in healthcare, but deploying AI in hospitals requires more than model performance. Healthcare organizations need AI solutions that can protect sensitive patient data, deliver reliable and explainable insights, and operate seamlessly within existing IT environments. Taiwan AI Cloud has developed its Pharmaceutical AI Agent to address these requirements. By combining Taiwan AI Cloud’s AFS AI Hub with the ASRock Industrial AI BOX-A395, the solution enables AI-powered medication safety analysis to run entirely on-premises. This allows hospitals and pharmacists to leverage advanced AI for medication safety while keeping sensitive prescription and patient data within their own network, helping transition AI from experimental concepts into practical clinical workflows.
了解更多Technical support plays a critical role in helping customers resolve product issues while preserving the engineering knowledge gained along the way. At ASRock Industrial, the Technical Support Division (TSD) manages a large and growing collection of support cases, engineering reports, troubleshooting records, and product knowledge built up over years of customer interactions. This accumulated knowledge is a valuable resource for problem analysis, root cause investigation, and ongoing support. To make better use of these assets and put Enterprise AI to practical use, ASRock Industrial deployed AI BOX-A395 with AiKMSpark as an on-premises enterprise AI knowledge management platform. Built on this core solution, ASRock Industrial further developed the AI TSD Agent around the specific workflows and knowledge requirements of its Technical Support Division (TSD). The deployment demonstrates how AI BOX-A395 and AiKMSpark can serve as a foundation for tailored enterprise AI applications, turning accumulated organizational knowledge into practical AI-powered tools while keeping proprietary data entirely within the company’s infrastructure.
了解更多ASRock Industrial is committed to providing secure, trustworthy edge AI computing platforms, and we work closely with global customers to help them build products and solutions to meet international cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
了解更多As retailers increasingly rely on real-time data to optimize store operations, physical AI & automation systems are becoming essential to ensure accuracy and efficiency at scale. To support this transformation, Simbe partnered with ASRock Industrial to enhance the performance and reliability of its Tally autonomous shelf-scanning robot, part of the larger Store Intelligence™ platform. Built using ASRock Industrial’s NUC-255H Industrial Motherboard, the system acts as the core computing platform, enabling real-time sensor fusion, navigation, and AI processing within fast-charging retail environments. This integration enhances operational consistency while supporting scalable deployment of intelligent, data-driven retail solutions.

Collaborative Systems Integration (CSI), in partnership with ASRock Industrial, both members of the OPAF (Open Process Automation Forum) and COPA (Coalition of Open Process Automation), successfully validated a standards-based systems management architecture aligned with the Open Group O-PAS™ Standard.
The joint effort demonstrates how Distributed Control Nodes (DCNs) can be securely discovered, provisioned, managed, and continuously monitored within an open, software-defined industrial ecosystem, enhancing interoperability, scalability, and lifecycle efficiency across modern process automation environments.
A key milestone of the initiative was the integration of the ASRock Industrial iEP-7020E with AiSMA (ASRock Industrial System Management Architecture), a Redfish® agent native lifecycle management framework, forming the DCN management foundation to enable O-PAS™ system management & orchestration functions.
In response to growing global demand for reliable and resilient energy systems, Texas A&M deployed a COPA 500 based AI nuclear control system integrated with ASRock Industrial’s iEP-5000G/iEP-7000E Series platforms as Distributed Control Nodes (DCNs) for real time execution and validation. Powered by deterministic edge processing, the system enables secure coordination between predictive AI models and physical reactor controls, delivering precise timing, operational reliability, and safe real-time monitoring for advanced nuclear research environments.
了解更多As digital transformation accelerates across manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and critical infrastructure, edge computing has become a foundational layer of modern operations. Devices deployed at the edge now process sensitive data, control physical systems, and enable real-time decision making, bringing unprecedented efficiency while also expanding cybersecurity risk. To address these growing threats, the European Union has introduced the EU Cyber Resilience Act (EU CRA), fundamentally redefining cybersecurity expectations for products with digital elements sold in the EU market. Under the CRA, cybersecurity is no longer an optional feature or post-deployment add on, it becomes a baseline requirement by design, enforced across the entire product lifecycle.
了解更多A renowned global donut chain upgraded its digital signage with ASRock Industrial’s iBOX-J6412 to achieve standardized deployment across both indoor and outdoor displays. The solution delivers high performance at a competitive cost, ensures long-term availability, and operates reliably in diverse environments, enabling consistent, seamless customer experiences cross all locations.
了解更多A sustainability-driven innovator in plastic recycling, GR3N implemented a modular, scalable, and vendor-neutral control system to support its microwave assisted deploymerization process, enabling infinite PET recycling with high purity polymer recovery. The solution enables scalable production by integrating UAO IEC 61499 runtime with ASRock Industrial’s iEP-5000G and iEPF-9000S platforms, delivering flexible and open edge control. By aligning modular plant automation with process design, GR3N lowers engineering costs, improves total cost of ownership (TCO), strengthens IP protection, enables data-driven optimization, and seamlessly integrates OT and IT systems.
