J&W partnered with ASRock Industrial to modernize an e-commerce logistics center challenged by slow manual sorting, limited flexibility, and system fragmentation. The new hybrid automation system integrates a human-cobot network, modular conveyor loops, vision-based control gates, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), all coordinated by ASRock Industrial iEP-5000G industrial IoT controller, powered by Intel Atom® x6425RE Processor and running UniversalAutomation.Org (UAO) runtime based on IEC 61499. This architecture enables dynamic routing, real-time vision coordination, and seamless communication between control systems and IT platforms. The result is a unified, adaptive logistics ecosystem that boosts throughput, enhances accuracy, and ensures operational continuity. With modular logic and scalable performance, J&W’s system achieves faster picking efficiency, greater flexibility, and reduced downtime, setting a new standard for smart logistics automation.
